Laurence J. Aurbach
Mr. Aurbach has worked as Deputy County Counsel for Santa Clara County, California, where he was responsible for drafting zoning and subdivision procedures. He was an Executive Assistant in the City of Cleveland Department of Community Development under Mayor Stokes. He served in policy and legal positions in the U.S. government (DOT, FAA, CAB and NOAA) for eighteen years, and drafted the Department of Transportation's environmental procedures.
Mr. Aurbach authored a brochure on "Gifts of Land: Tax Advantages to the Individual". The Nature Conservancy published 100,000 of the brochures and brought in $1 billion worth of land. Mr. Aurbach is a member of the California, Ohio, and District of Columbia Bars. He is a graduate of Princeton University and the University of California School of Law in Berkeley. He has served as Adjunct Professor at The American University, teaching courses in Environmental Management and Urban Environmental Planning. He is also a Certified Financial Planner. He has served as President of his neighborhood association and is a founder of its historical society.
