Susan
Day is CSEs Administrative Officer and Operations Manager. Her
diverse background uniquely qualifies her to direct the business
and management operations of CSE. She has twenty years experience
in administrative and operations management positions, including:
hospital administration and management, co-ownership and management
of a small business, and non-profit administration and operations
management.
Susan has been CSEs Administrative Officer/Operations Manager
since 1992. She is responsible for business and management operations
including:
- Coordinating scientific research staff
- Organizing and coordinating scientific field trips and meetings
- Managing financial operations
- Coordinating, writing, and editing press releases, newsletters
and the web site
- Functioning as staff liaison to CSEs board of directors
- Preparing and managing budgets
- Designing and coordinating work plans
- Coordinating publication of scientific report and papers
- Coordinating and writing proposal and grant applications
- Supervising administrative/clerical staff

- Developed and managed accounting and payroll
services for small businesses, including: general ledger, accounts
receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and preparation of financial
