Over 200 scientific and technical publications (with some translations in nine languages) including seventeen books and monographs (the more recent: "Living Resource Conservation: An International Overview", 1996; "Crisis and Opportunity: Environment and Development in Africa", l992 (French) and l993 (English); "Dams and the Environment", l989; "To Feed the Earth: The Ecology of Sustainable Agricultural Development", l987; and "New Principles for the Conservation of Wild Living Resources" l978), plus numerous popular articles (e.g., National Geographic, Smithsonian, Natural History). Recipient of national awards (America and Europe) for scientific and popular writing and documentary film making.
