Areas of Professional Expertise:
Stream/river ecosystem structure and
function. General stream ecosystem theory with special emphasis on
land-water interactions, especially sources and fates of organic matter
from the riparian zone. Functional group analysis of stream organisms
and factors that regulate their growth and mortality.

stream ecology and fire effects in Yellowstone National Park.
